Where’s The Money

The Quick Start Challenge now rolls into Week 3

Week Three of the QSC is about Money

I have discovered that I have a lot of skills and knowledge about the internet that put me in a good place to become an internet marketer and build an income from internet sources.

I successfully ranked my former offline business with 3+ spots on page one of Google for over eighteen months and with at least one link in spots 1-3 for about half that time.  I know ranking can be achieved as I have been there.

This week I’m hoping to discover how to use what I know to monetise my online sites.

The Money Tree

Visual Golfers (http://visualgolfers.com) will be my main push in the next 45 days.  At present it is being rebuilt and the membership structure re-engineered to be 3 tier rather than 4.  The 4th tier was very high level and would require significant and ongoing personal input from me – just what I’m trying to avoid.

The other target areas are a mix of on-line and off-line services in hypnosis and local marketing.  These will continue to be developed week by week as opportunities to market them become apparent and in line with my plans for them.  What I have learned from the QSC in regard to them is that I must be a more active blogger both on them and posting to other sites that already have my customers.

Where is the money?

I’m looking forward to discovering just what Dean, Craig and JF have in store for this weeks lesson and the following challenge.

    Hello Chris,

One thing I’m learning is that blog hopping is like FB… I start reading on someone’s site and the time flies by… like yours! I am truly learning the value and getting to know all the great QSC FB group.

Looking forward to the QSC call tonight to see our next challenge! …and be sure you get some sleep!

Thanks Gail – it is really a matter of being selective.
I’m having some fun here and am using this blog and as many members of the QSC sites as I can to get some practice in. I’m am going to hit sites related to my online business this week even though the site won’t be back up for another month – I’ll set the date at 20 May ( http://VisualGolfers.com ) – now it’s out there in public I’ll have to make it work.
You do get to discover some really interesting things with bloghopping and yes it’s so easy to lose track of time.
Agree we have a great group and so much willingness to share.

    Hi Chris,

I really like the look of your blog. Awesome job.

It sounds as if you have a pretty ambitious plan moving forward. I like that. Once I get the ball rolling even more, my long-term plan is to set up a couple membership sites also, and I have a few niches in mind.

I’ve been doing my SigniTraffic and blog commenting exercises quite religiously, but, like you, I’m jazzed about learning how to effectively monetize my site.

This should be an interesting week, and I have to say, even though I’ve been trying to “make it” online for years, I finally feel a sense of focus that I didn’t have before. It was always the thought that the next purchase was going to be the one. Hasn’t happened.

I have a feeling that for many people (not only me) things are about to change. . .for the better. . .finally!

I look forward to following your journey.

Inspiring to hear your plans and the hardset thing will be to keep the momentum once the challenge is over.

That’s where I hope I make some friends here who’ll maybe set up a Skype or Hangout group to share experiences and ideas and help keep us all accountable on our journey.

Keep it going and take action – then you get real change.

    Hi Chris,

I can see that you have many valuable skills. Looking forward to learn more from you.

I am sure many people will be interested to learn how you rank your websites.

    Have a good day!

Thanks for visiting Lubano and your comment.

How did I rank those sites – regular postings, careful use of keywords and links from other sites with complimentary posts. I do admit that I took a beating for a couple of months after the exact match domain (EMD) update by Google but it seems they got over that after a while because the content was ok and some had to be edited to get rid of some over-optimisation.
I also have a couple of articles out there in the ether that were written years ago and they continue to help rankings.
Seems to me that if you put regular and decent content on your site Google, Bing and Yahoo will give you some love.

As for my skills and knowledge – it’s no good being very knowledgeable if you don’t use it – that’s been one of my short comings. I love research and learning but have been poor on the application side of the fence. That’s why I’m here to discover the joy of doing and implementing and to discover the joy of getting tangible results.
